Accompanying this year's Riverside Avondale Luminaria, will be an open house like no other. After 55+ years of occupancy, the legendary Green House will be open for the public to tour. If you're an Allman Brothers Band fan, you've probably already made your way by this historic site. For others, it's one of Riverside's best kept secret. From 1968-1969 various members of the Second Coming lived and made music in this house. They would soon become the Allman Brothers Band and the rest is history! When the band moved to the Gray House next door, Ronnie Van Zant and various members of Lynyrd Skynyrd took residence here. They even added their custom sound-proofing upgrades, mattresses hanging on the walls. Come see it for yourself, walk the halls of this legendary home, and enjoy the stories we have to share.
