An introduction to the candidacy process for people who are beginning to sense a call to ministry in The United Methodist Church. The two-day Candidacy Summit Retreat is an introduction to the candidacy process for people who are just beginning to sense a call to set apart ministry in The United Methodist Church. Candidates will begin working with mentoring groups and be able to take the required psychological assessment during the retreat. The two-day retreat also includes an orientation to ministry, worship and fellowship with others who are also exploring God’s call on their lives. The Candidacy Summit Retreat will take place Friday, January 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Registration deadline: December 10, 2021. Cost includes summit, lodging, and psychological screening. There is a registration option for those who live with commuting distance that will not include your lodging. NOTE: This will be IN-PERSON at the West Ohio Area Center in Worthington. We serve United Methodist congregations in Ohio.
