Participants will explore basic ornithology in the diverse botanical grounds of Landcraft Gardens. DESCRIPTION: Participants will explore basic ornithology in the diverse botanical grounds of Landcraft Gardens. This 90-minute workshop builds birding skills from mnemonics to understanding bird behavior. Local birder Jennifer Murray will help participants identify common backyard birds and our “winter residents.” We will also search for less common birds from Brown Creepers to Bald Eagles. Participants will be led through the grounds on a birding exploration using sight and sound, then invited to find a quiet spot in the gardens or native meadows to observe birds from the ground to the sky! Come join us for this educational and sensory experience through the gardens and grounds. The workshop is open to 15 participants (15+). Binoculars are optional.
