Job Title: Line Operator Department: Production Reports to: Plant Manager Who reports to him: Team of the shift assigned (3 people) Job Summary: To lead line team during production shift, and to perform line operation tasks according to company standards, reaching established goals and complying all company policies. Main Functions: • Leads shift production team to deliver established production goals. • Performs line operation tasks. • Fix line problems during production shift. • Fix product quality issues when needed. • Performs size changeover as required in production program. • Responsible for production continuity of the line. • Leads efforts to keep the line producing during lunch breaks. • Keeps line clean while minimizing cleaning downtime. • Champions achieving production goals. • Ensures product complies with quality standards, such as: size, core formation, weight, absorption, bond strength, perforation, raw materials used, product appearance, package, pallet, etc. • Measures raw material usage. • Performs shift startup checklist. • Strives to achieve production goals (cases production, scarp reduction, downtime reduction, proper materials usage, quality, people safety, SQF, good organizational climate, among others) • Reports all aspects of the production shift: cases produced, line downtime, scrap generated, materials used, pads quality attributes. • Replace other lines operators in same or other shifts when required.
