Enjoy a night of bowling while helping these District 202 performing arts groups raise money to compete at WGI World Championships!
Plainfield Winter Guard and 202 Indoor Percussion are marching arts performing ensembles available to students at all four Plainfield School District 202 High Schools as well as students in eighth grade all all seven Plainfield Middle Schools. They are an extension of the district's marching band programs and help motivated students continue to develop their skills throughout the winter months.
WGI World Championships are held in April every year at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. Each group will need to raise approximately $7,500 to attend this event including transportation and hotel stay. Students will have the opportunity to compete in Scholastic A Prelims, and potentially Semi Finals as well as Finals if we are able to advance. In addition, both groups of students will be able to watch Independent World Class Finals, which will feature the best performing ensembles the activity has to offer.
Each Bowling for the Arts attendee will enjoy two hours of bowling (including shoes and bowling balls), unlimited food and non-alcoholic beverages, a $25 Bowlero Gift Card, and two raffle tickets! There will be silent auctions, raffles, and a 50/50 split the pot available as well!
We hope that you'll consider joining us to support these students on their journey to achieve excellence. If you're unable to attend but would like to lend your support to either of these groups, please visit our sponsorship pages at https://plainfieldwinterguard.org/sponsorship/ or https://202indoorpercussion.org/sponsorship/
