Join us in reciting the Thanksgiving Address as we sip on a warm cup of Blue Lotus tea, the flower of intuition! the spirit of Native American Heritage Month and "Thanks Giving", we would like to invite you to an intimate gathering of reflection and gratitude for the Natural World. The Thanksgiving Address is the central prayer and invocation for the Haudenosaunee (also known as the Iroquois Confederacy or Six Nations), giving thanks for life and the world around them. An ancient message of peace and appreciation of Mother Earth and her inhabitants. The Blue Lotus flower has been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years as a natural aphrodisiac, sleep aid, and anxiety reliever; it helps promote deep relaxation and heightened awareness. For centuries, Blue Lotus has been respected as an ancestral flower known to enhance third eye function and motivate lucid dreaming. What to expect: Oration of the Thanksgiving AddressJournaling (Paper and pens will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you desire)Tea & Snacks (nuts, fruits, veggies and hummus)Community!!!This gathering will be held à la picnic style at Lake Lawsona Park. Blankets will be provided, however, pillows may be limited so feel free to bring your own.
