250+ Medford Students Vaccinated At First Clinic For Children

MEDFORD, MA — The Board of Health and the Medford Public Schools held the first vaccine clinic for children ages 5-11 at the Andrews Middle School Wednesday night. More than 250 students were vaccinated, the district said. The clinic provided a movie and coloring stations for the kids, while the Andrews School PTO hosted a snack table. Superintendent Marice Edouard-Vincent was in attendance, thanking Board of Health Director Maryanne O'Connor, Public Health Nurse Sarah Harris, Supervisor of Nurses Avery Hines and the district's nursing staff. Additional assistance was provided by Northeastern University student nurses and the CTE Health Assisting students. The next clinic will be held Saturday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Andrews School. All appointments have been filled, but there are still 60 walk-in spots available.
