Description
STAMFORD, CT — The 2021 City of Stamford leaf pickup program will begin on Nov. 15.
Leaves must be out no later than:
North (Above Merritt Parkway): Nov. 15Middle (Merritt Parkway to I-95): Nov. 22South (South of I-95): Dec. 6 Note: Residents in the Farms Road repair area should expect some delays. The road was damaged by the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida in September.
New this year, Stamford residents can stay up to be up to date on the latest in the city's leaf pickup process by signing up for City Services notifications with Fix It Stamford.
Residents are reminded to make sure loose leaves are not on the road or blocking the sidewalk, as this may result in removal costs and fines. If residents choose to bag their leaves, they may be placed on the road by the curb, provided they do not block sight lines or interfere with traffic.
Residents are also able to bring up to 200 pounds of leaves daily at no charge to the Katrina Mygatt Recycling Center located at 130 Magee Ave., Tuesdays through Saturdays between the hours of 7 a.m. and 2 p.m., or the Stamford Transfer Station located at 101 Harbor View Ave., Monday-Saturday between the hours of 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Visit the city website for more information on leaf pickup.
