Description
FALLS CHURCH, VA — Throughout November, we are inviting readers to share their gratitude for others.
In Falls Church, Douglas, an avid cyclist, expressed gratitude to the planners and workers who completed construction of the Washington & Old Dominion Trail bridge over Route 29 at the Arlington and Falls Church border. The bridge, which opened in March, makes it much safer for cyclists and pedestrians to cross Route 29.
Douglas also expressed his love and admiration for his wife of many years.
Here's the message that Douglas shared about what he is grateful for this holiday season:
I would like to say thank you to my wife April. She is the most awesome person I know, and I am thankful for each and every day we are able to spend together. Thank you for marrying me all those years ago!!! Thank you to the administrators of the W&OD bike trail and the city of Falls Church for the new cycling overpass crossing Highway 29 (Langston Blvd). As an avid cyclist, I am thankful for a safe crossing at this previously dangerous intersection. Patch's "30 Days Of Gratitude" is a series of articles exploring the intentionality of gratitude and featuring bits of wisdom from Patch readers.
