Rise and shine, Albuquerque! Let's get this Friday started. Here's everything going on today in town. First, today's weather: Abundant sunshine. High: 64 Low: 38. Here are the top stories today in Albuquerque: UNM Health and Presbyterian have activated crisis standards of care for their Albuquerque metro hospitals. Effective Nov. 11, Presbyterian will be activating crisis standards of care for its main hospital, Kaseman Hospital, and Rust Medical Center. Crisis standards of care will also be activated for UNMH's main hospital and their Sandoval Regional Medical Center. UNM officials said they are currently operating at 140 percent capacity. (KOB) With the violent crime in Albuquerque skyrocketing, now more than ever, local law enforcement is partnering with the feds to fight it. Teams of officers from state police, the sheriff's office, Albuquerque police, and other agencies are deputized as federal officers, working with the FBI to go after the worst of the worst suspects of violent crimes. Federal prosecutors are part of this too, saying federal laws are a lot tougher than state laws. (KOAT New Mexico)Crossroads for Women is an Albuquerque-based organization that helps women leaving incarcerations. They offer family support, housing assistance, mental health and substance abuse services, and more. (KOAT New Mexico) A man has been detained after breaking into a northwest Albuquerque gas station and barricading himself inside Thursday morning.
