Family Memorializes Loved One With The Help of Strangers

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The family and friends of a Howard County man have established a GoFundMe page to help pay for his burial expenses after Derrick a.k.a. Michael was killed in a car accident Nov. 5. He was a 24-year-old Frostburg graduate who had majored in mass communications. He also was an artist using the name Mike OhMy. "He loved sharing his music whether it was on social media, or doing shows at different venues. He had songs streaming on Pandora radio, SoundCloud, Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music and YouTube. His works can be found at linktr.ee/mikeohmy," his sister Porsha Taylor shared. "He had so many people who loved him. He was a wonderful son, brother, boyfriend, friend and mentor to many." The funds raised will go to memorize Michael and help pay for his services, according to the GoFundMe page. GoFundMe is a Patch business partner.
