COACHELLA VALLEY, CA -- A brush fire burned two acres of vegetation in Desert Hot Springs early Friday morning. The fire was reported at 4:38 a.m. at the intersection of Country Club and Vista Cerro drives, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. VEGETATION FIRE - Rptd 4:38 AM. Country Club Dr x Vista Cerro Dr in Desert Hot Springs. Fire crews were able to stop the blaze's forward rate of spread, the fire department said on Twitter at 5:47 a.m. No injuries to civilians or fire department personnel were reported.
