Description

CONCORD, NH — Concord fire and rescue teams as well as New Hampshire State Police were sent to Interstate 93 for a multi-vehicle crash on Friday. Around 11:15 a.m., state police began receiving reports of a camper crash near Exit 15 that was blocking traffic. When they arrived at the area, they found the crash was actually just above the Exit 14 overpass on the northbound side of the highway. The crash involved a pickup truck hauling a camper and a car. The northbound side of the highway was completely closed to traffic. Concord fire closed down the high-speed lane of the southbound side to assist those injured. According to capital region dispatch, three people were evaluated — with dispatch calling for more ambulances. Bow EMTs and Tri-Town out of Pembroke also arrived to assist. Tow trucks were also called. Loudon fire and rescue were also called into Concord for mutual aid. A state trooper at the scene would not speculate at the length of time the highway would be closed. At just before noon, one lane of the northbound side of the highway was opened for traffic. Tow trucks arrived after 12:15 p.m. and the highway was closed again for cleanup and removal. State police are still processing the scene. NEWS 603 posted videos of firefighters working to shift the camper. Got a news tip? Send it to [email protected].
