CREST HILL, IL — On Friday, Crest Hill Mayor Ray Soliman announced that Jim Marino will be appointed as Crest Hill's next city administrator at Monday night's City Council meeting.
Marino has 30 years of experience in local government, including the last 22 years with the village of Homewood where he has worked as village manager since 2012. Before that, Marino was Homewood's assistant village manager. Earlier in his career, Marino worked as village administrator in Thornton.
"We believe Jim Marino has the leadership skills, experience in economic development-redevelopment, a focus on community engagement and the professional demeanor we are seeking to lead our City staff and to work effectively with our elected body and community," Soliman announced in Friday's news release.
Crest Hill said it conducted a national recruitment for the open city administrator position after the previous City Administrator, Heather McGuire, left to take the same job in St. Charles.
"We are very excited to start this next chapter in Crest Hill's history and look forward to welcoming Jim Marino to our organization and community," Soliman added.
