ST. MICHAEL, MN — St. Michael-Albertville senior Ali Weimer held off a pair of freshmen from Hopkins High to win the Class 3A girls cross-country championship last weekend at St. Olaf College. Weimer finished the 5,000-meter course with a time of 17 minutes and 42 seconds to earn the Knights' first-ever individual cross-country state title, Press & News reports. Wright Co. St. Michael Residents To Pay More For Heat This Winter: Xcel The St. Michael-Albertville girls cross-country team finished in fourth place overall, with Edina winning the Class 3A state team championship. Wayzata took second place and Prior Lake finished third. St. Michael-Albertville's Caden Nordberg finished ninth in the boys cross-country state championship.
