TUCSON, AZ — A 16-year-old has been charged on suspicion of murder for the shooting death of a 23-year-old man at a Tucson apartment complex, according to Tucson Police.
Gabriel Alejandro Pichardo was arrested Thursday on suspicion of one count of first degree murder. He's being held at the Pima County Jail.
Pichardo is accused of shooting Andres Guillermo Franco, 23, in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 4880 E. 29th St on the afternoon of Nov. 2, according to a press release from Tucson police.
Franco was later pronounced dead at St. Joseph's Hospital, from injuries sustained in the shooting, police said.
Witnesses told police that the man and the teen were arguing prior to the shooting, police said.
Pichardo is accused of fleeing the scene after the shooting. Tucson Police air and K9 could not find Pichardo that night.
