TUCSON, AZ — A man has been arrested and charged on suspicion of robbing eight Tucson banks, as well as a convenience store and a Whataburger, according to court documents and a news release from the FBI. James Siehien, 52, was charged Monday in the United States District Court of Arizona on suspicion of bank robbery with the use of a deadly weapon, according to court documents. Siehien is accused of passing demand notes to tellers at the banks and threatening them with weapons like an ax or a machete if they did not give him money, the FBI said. Siehien was arrested Nov. 5, after he's accused of robbing First Convenience Bank in Tucson, according to the FBI. He's accused of an initial robbery of Chase Bank on Oct. 4, followed by a string of robberies, ending with his Nov. 5 arrest.
