Wood Lawn and Landscaping is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our growing team! Wood Lawn and Landscaping, a cornerstone of the Newport, NC landscaping community has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Manager. Our Maintenance Manager will help us grow our company to new heights and has the opportunity to help put their stamp on our business. We already have a great team of employees in place but our Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the continued growth and development of the department. We work outdoors and we love it! The Maintenance Manager has the unique opportunity to work both indoors, in the office, and outdoors, in nature in beautiful Crystal Coast, NC! The day-to-day: Our Maintenance Manager is responsible for: Recruiting, training and retaining team members for the maintenance department. Managing the expenses and productivity of the department. Identifying ways to improve or increase productivity of the department. Developing relationships with customers. Coaching and developing team members. Conducting property audits to ensure that the customers have received the best results.   Qualifications: Has completed college, vocational or technical training. Has prior experience in turf and ornamental landscaping including plant and grass knowledge and identification and experience in plant and grass care. Has experience in personnel management.  Has time management and organizational skills. Understands basic measurement and calculation. Can work independently and with a team. Must possess a valid driver’s license.   Salary and Compensation: The salary range for this position is $50,000 – 55,000/annually. We offer 6 paid holidays. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:15 – end of day, usually between 3:30 and 4pm. Employees receive a $250 a month health care stipend toward health care expenses. The Maintenance Manager will also be provided with company transportation in the form of a company vehicle after successful completion of training. All employees receive 5 paid vacation days after 1 year of service in addition to the 6 paid company holidays.  About us: Wood Lawn and Landscaping is a family-owned business.
