Americans are gluttonous pigs. We drive giant vehicles with oversized motors to pick our kids up from school and to run errands. Americas are lazy and will not walk a few blocks to the market. The ONLY way to get Americas to change their habits is by affecting their wallet. High gas prices mean less consumption. High gas prices mean more sales of alternative field vehicles.
High gas prices are a huge win.
