Kelly Services is seeking Packers for a local in Rockingham, Va. Position pays $14.30hr, weekly Friday pay. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -Prepares and outfits oneself in accordance with all applicable food safety protocols, such as donning required coverings for facial and scalp hair, required lab coat covering, and using proper handwashing technique prior to donning gloves. -Accurately identifies numerous types of herbs. -Consistently trims or cuts herbs in a manner resulting in maximized product yield. -Consistently creates herb bundles that precisely meet size and weight requirements of each type of container -Handles herbs carefully to avoid damaging the product during the packaging process. -Places herbs into the designated packaging containers according to customer order requirements. -Always performs work in accordance with GMPs, food safety and workplace safety requirements and Company policies and procedures. -Follows department training guidelines, best practices and operating procedures. -Communicates with the Line Coordinator as needed to achieve production goals and standards. -Wears/uses personal protective equipment as required. -Maintains a safe and organized working area. -Reports all observed safety hazards to the immediate Supervisor. -During first two weeks of work, Herb Packer I must demonstrate progress toward meeting assigned minimum hourly packaging quota. -Herbs Packer I require meeting or exceeding minimum packaging quota of 225 properly packed clamshells per hour within 90 days of start date. -Herb Packer II and Herb Packer III positions require meeting or exceeding a minimum average packing quota of between 260 – 290 properly packed clamshells per hour. -Herb Packer III position also mentors and encourages newly hired Packer I’s. -Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.
