Description
2021 Seven Oaks Youth Ski Development and Race Team Registration The Seven Oaks Youth Ski Development & Race Team is for skiers ages 7 to 17 who are passionate about becoming better skiers. This ski development program takes place in a ski racing venue to provide a way to showcase skills and learn new abilities. Take note that the word ski comes before racing. Therefore, our race development program emphasizes building life-long skiing skills before racing skills. Our goal is to provide a high-quality and enjoyable program for athletes and their families that puts emphasis on skill development. The program will also stress safety, enjoyment, and learning at all times. Our coaches’ main goal is to focus on helping all participants achieve their goals and attain a higher level of skiing ability. Due to COVID-19. the format for the 2021 season will allow for targeted practice times based on skill level. Please read the session descriptions below and register each skier for the session(s) that most fit his/her ability level prior to the start of the 2021 season. Each participant will need to submit a separate registration. Session Times and Descriptions - Registration for each session will be $50/skier (note that the "ticket" purchase will show only the first scheduled date of each session - your registration covers all dates listed in the session description) In order to support social distancing requirements, there will not be a pre-season kick-off meeting this year; information and updates will be shared via email. Groups will meet at the bottom of the ski hill to start each session, and skiers will remain outdoors at all times other than to use the restroom. Given the uncertainty around the duration and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, no formal races are planned for the 2021 season. We look forward to bringing the Big Oak Classic back in 2022!
