Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, and other tools as directed by management.
• Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches.
• Shovel materials to and from construction areas, including asphalt and dirt.
• Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site daily.
• Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.
• Report incidents immediately to safety director, foreman, or HR in accordance with incident reporting procedures established by the company.
• Maintaining accurate time sheet.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Must work safely and weal all required personal protective equipment.
• General construction laborers must have sufficient physical strength to perform job requirements.
• Good hand-eye coordination and endurance.
• Laborers must also be able to concentrate on their tasks.
• The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential.
• Some tools and machines are computerized, requiring technical knowledge to use.
• Must be willing to learn and take direction.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Must be able to pass a drug screen. Must have reliable transportation.
