USA Today is reporting that the Trump administration delayed, and in certain circumstances denied Purple Hearts to members of the U.S. Army based at Al Assad Airbase. The Human Resources Command recently received a number of Purple Heart nominations related to the Jan. 8, 2020 attack at the base. Trump repeatedly stated that no soldiers were injured in the attack. Currently, more than 100 soldiers are awaiting a decision on their Purple Heart applications. The Biden Administration is currently expediting those citations. Politics, and political considerations have no business in honoring America's service members! FDT!
