Red Bone Hound, neutered, chipped, up to date on shots. Age is estimated. Not sure if 100% red bone hound but exhibits all the traits. Wandered up in the middle of April and after lengthy search for owner we adopted. Dog is very intelligent, has an excellent nose, makes short retrieves, trees squirrels in the yard. Original thought was training for a deer tracking dog but just don't have the time. Beautiful rust red color with blonde eyes, great disposition, good with other dogs and cats. Hangs out inside, sleeps on the bed, very loving dog. Current weight 51# Both wife and I work days and dog has to be kenneled because he digs out or recently learned to jump 4' fence. We live on a busy street and don't want to see him get run over. Hate to see this dog kenneled. Looking for good country home with other dogs where he has room to roam and be safe from traffic.
