Assist the Salvage Parts Specialist in meeting customer needs for used parts in an efficient and timely manner to meet company goals. Dismantling trucks for parts. Assign part numbers and yard location. Picking parts that are requested. Participate in special projects or assignments as requested. Inform Salvage Parts Specialist when job is complete. Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhere to safety protocols. Competencies: Experience working on medium/heavy duty trucks. Bonus if you have experience working with auto parts (Used), Salvage Yard Ability to drive a forklift. Basic mathematical, language, and computer skills. Possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Working Conditions: This is an outdoor position, working in all kinds of weather. You may potentially be exposed to dust, hazardous materials, non-hazardous materials and fumes. Utilization of protective equipment is mandatory. A lighted and heated building is available for use as needed. Physical Requirements: You will need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb in and out of trucks and up and down a ladder. Personnel need to be able to squat, bend and reach above their head. This a physically demanding job and you will be on your feet up to 8 hours a day.
