Aerotech Processing Solution (Metal finishing/plating) company is looking to hire full time Packer/Unracker in production department at Paterson, NJ Responsibility The packer is responsible for all tasks involved in packing which includes, Unrack, count, dry, inspect Inspect, dry, pack, wrap and build skid. Occasionally rack, mask. Move completed cart to packing area Dry parts, count, Unrack, inspect for cosmetic defect Keep defective part separate and notify supervisor Pack parts in paper/plastic bag and place them in box Keep accurate count of order and notify supervisor if there is any shortage Fill out necessary paperwork, create shipping label and log order details Wrap skid/box and place shipping label once order is completed Return work ticket to customer service and move skid to shipping area Keeps assigned work and storage areas clean, litter free and safe at all times Keeps all unused racking and framing components in designated areas at all time Maintain packaging inventory Manage time efficiently to meet and exceed Daily schedule Other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualification Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently and safely Ability to perform visual inspection on parts Attention to detail and ability to be incredibly careful with fragile parts Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and receive direction from others Ability to follow written and oral instructions, and work well with others Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instruction, traveler, and procedure Preferred language is English Use hand tools (screw drivers, wrenches, pliers etc.) Work Environment/Physical Demands Proper PPE must be worn at all times. Frequent use of hands and fingers. Frequent reaching with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Wear gloves and safety glasses Ability to work in hot and humid production area Constant standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting
