This event will be a healing space for Portland’s Black community and those who have lost loved ones to gun and community violence.
The state of Black Portland’s mental health is in crisis due to an abundance of grief and trauma. Violence in our community harms our mental wellness. Experiencing racism harms our mental wellness. Losing friends and loved ones harms our mental wellness.
Let’s gather in unity to find ways to heal ourselves and our community. The Coalition of African and African American Pastors, leaders, and members of the Black community partner with Lines for Life to host this free, two-day event.
The Healing Trauma and Resilience Summit offers support, education, and resources to help each of us cope with the violence harming our community and the fear, anger, and grief left in its wake.
