Volunteer with Columbus Gives Back and provide groceries for shoppers at the "My Family" Food Pantry Columbus Gives Back is thrilled to partner with My Project USA to recruit volunteers for their My Family Food Pantry. What: Volunteers will help with food bagging, packaging, boxing, and distributing in carts to the client cars. along with helping in registration and wrapping/cleaning up for the day. When: Saturday, November 27th 9:00am - 11:30am Where: 3275 Sullivant Ave. Columbus, OH 43204 Accessibility: This building has doors at front and sides along with a ramp on one door that will be helpful in entering for any person with accessibility needs. Event Leader(s): [email protected] COVID-19 Precautions: Columbus Gives Back is following all recommended social / hygiene protocols. Masks are no longer required for outdoor events but please bring one to the event in case our nonprofit partners require them. We require volunteers to bring masks and practice social distancing for all indoor events. About My Project USA: My project USA is a national initiative to protect and empower our youth and families. We are headquartered in the Hilltop area of Columbus, OH. We uplift underprivileged, crime-ridden neighborhoods. We strengthen abused, neglected, and underserved communities and get the very best out of them through social services and civic engagement. We are the largest Muslim Social Services Organization in Ohio. At MY Project USA, all of us - young and old, boys and girls, parents and children - work together to protect, nurture, and empower our youth, our communities, and our country: The United States of America. Our mission is to connect young professionals across central Ohio and engage them in our communities through 35-40 social volunteer and philanthropic opportunities per month. #SocialTwist: We have begun re-introducing social twists, where we invite volunteers to hang out with us after an event to have fun doing something local! As of May 1st, outdoor/patio social twists will be coordinated at the discretion of event leaders and volunteers.
