I am an experienced percussionist, arranger, composer and producer. My specialties are Afro-Cuban and Brazilian music but I am interested in all styles of music. I have studied in Cuba, Brazil, and New York and speak Spanish and Portuguese. Some of the instruments I play: congas, bongos, bells, shakers, chekere, surd snare drum, repinique, timbau, chocalho, tamborim, foot pedals, djembe, guiro, etc.; Played wih dozens of bands performed countless gigs --quimbombó (Cuban son band that I lead), Trey Anastasio, Gary Morgan & Panamericana, Samba New York, Have worked in the following venues: Lincoln Center's Midsummer Night's Swing, SOB's, the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Museum, Gonzalez y Gonzalez, The Blue Water Grill, Waldorf-Astoria, Copacabana, Ritz -- Carlton, Rainbow Room, Top of the Rock, Radio City Music Hall, Cipriani, Rio de Janeiro Sambadrome.
