Take a savory journey into the past with Plimoth Patuxet this Thanksgiving season! Experience a Taste of America's Past An evening of entertainment and hospitality awaits you as you sit down to a 17th century meal filled with the finest food that this season of plenty has to offer. Your host will guide you through the meal, and answer your questions about England and Plymouth, old and new. Before dinner, you will be entertained with centuries-old psalms and songs, and perhaps you will be convinced to join in singing a round or two. BILL OF FARE Wood-pressed Cider Cheate Bread and Butter FIRST COURSE A Sallet of Herbs - a 17th century salad with watercress and chopped eggMussels Seeth'd with Parsley and Beer - steamed mussels with parsley & beer A Dish of Turkey, Sauc'd - roasted turkey with onion gravy, thickened with bread A Pottage of Cabbage, Leeks & Onions - savory stewed cabbage A Sweet Pudding of Native Corn - an early, rustic version of Indian pudding with stone ground grits SECOND COURSE Stew'd Pompion - stewed butternut squash flavored with butter and vinegar A Chine of Pork, Roast'd - roast pork loin with a red wine sauce Fricassee of Fish - fish roasted with onions and leeksCheesecake made with spice and dried fruit - ricotta cheesecake with currants A Charger of Holland Cheese & FruitDETAILS Ticket price includes Museum admission, tax and service. Museum admission includes: the 17th-Century English Village, Historic Patuxet Homesite, Mayflower II, Plimoth Grist Mill, Craft Center and Nye Barn. (valid through November 2021) Pre-assigned seating is arranged for you. We are looking forward to sitting at communal tables again, and enjoying a family-style meal. Advanced notice is required If you would like to be seated with a "specific" party booked under another name. Tickets will be refunded up to 30 days prior to the event. A 50% refund will be issued for cancellations from 30 days to 2 weeks prior. Who We ArePlimoth Patuxet is a not-for-profit museum supported by admissions, contributions, grants and generous volunteers. What We DoPlimoth Patuxet, less than an hour south of Boston and minutes from Cape Cod, is a living museum dedicated to telling the history of Plymouth Colony from the perspective of both the Pilgrims and the Native Wampanoag people. The museum is a Smithsonian Institution Affiliate that includes Mayflower, a full-scale reproduction of the original ship that sailed to Plymouth in 1620 and Plimoth Grist Mill.
