Community Fires - Discover * Connect * Renew This winter solstice we invite community to come together at sunset for a special fire and ceremony. We'll honor and experience this natural turning point to the return of the sun by going inward with the support of Sacred Fire and each other's presence. The fire in the Council House will be consecrated by the firekeepers at sunset to create a special space to go inward. We'll also lite a social fire outside in front of the barn. To create a natural flow while adhering to COVID safety guidelines, we ask people to initially meet outside at the social fire and then rotate into the council house so that we have no more than 8-10 people at a time in the council house. Please wear your face mask if moving around and maintain 6 feet space b/t people. While you're waiting for your turn in the council house, please enjoy the social fire outside. Feel free to bring songs and warm drinks. Please bring paper and pen/pencil. During your contemplative time in the council house, you are invited to write down what you need to let go of from this year. Once this feels complete you will place it in the Sacred Fire and then you can return back to the social fire or take your leave. While listed as a free event, donations even as small as $5 are really helpful. Funds collected help offset the expenses involved in hosting monthly fires and events.
