Join us for a Victorian Afternoon Tea complete with clotted cream, cookies, cakes, tea sandwiches and scones! Join us for a Victorian Afternoon Tea complete with clotted cream, cookies, cakes, tea sandwiches and scones. A short program will be included along with a favor to take home. Guests are welcome to dress in period costume, wear a fun hat or come as they are. Anyone can attend, and we encourage parents/children or grandparents/grandchildren, women’s group outings, etc. We hope to see you there! In addition to providing individualized help to our patrons with genealogical research, we also offer several workshops on genealogy topics both at our facility and out in the community. We have a partnership with FamilySearch, the world’s largest repository of genealogical records where patrons can research and find information in our library that pertains to and aids in their genealogy research. Our patrons have access to Ancestry.com and HeritageQuest.com, free of charge; and a computer work station to conduct on-line research. To make the information accessible on-line, we will be working with FamilySearch on a book scanning project to scan information in our library on local histories of families, businesses, churches, and schools.
