Join the Baddest Non Profit on the Planet! The African People's Education and Defense Fund has programs in Oakland that need your help! Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles is one of the programs of APEDF, making programs possible that defend the civil and human rights of the black community, putting power into the hands of African people to end the disparities we face in health, healthcare, economic development and education. Uhuru Furniture needs your help. Every Saturday we are hosting community outreach volunteer opportunities to get out into our city and let people know how they can support this positive organization. No experience necessary! Individuals, groups, families, friends, co-workers - all are welcome! You will receive training and hit the sidewalk, distributing doorhanger fliers to doorknobs, helping give folks the opportunity to choose African self-determination! Benefits include meeting new people, getting to know your city, getting exercise outdoors, completing service hours if you have them and being part of something positive! Requirements include comfortable walking shoes and a passion for social justice! Are you ready to be part of something bigger than yourself? To join a movement that is changing the world?
