Description
I found a series 3 Apple Watch in the Wilson River last week.
It had been sitting in the river since August 14th.
So, someone who was out there swimming on August 13th or 14th must have lost it somewhere just west of the 'Foot Bridge' area, and then the battery must have died later that night.
I know this because I figured it was dead, so I was just going to recycle it and get it out of the river... but I got it home, dried it off, and charged it up, and it works perfectly. The last recorded date was August 14th.
I have tried to turn it on so it would ping the original owners' phone and trigger their Find My Apple Watch feature in iCloud -- but I have left it on for over a week and nothing has happened.
If this is yours or know someone who lost their Apple Watch this past summer while out swimming at the Wilson River -- hit me up! I guess the best way to verify it is if you can provide the serial number. It's useless to anyone without the owner opening up the iCloud Activation Lock...
