An all day event aimed to help new nursing graduates to transition from the classroom to the bedside. Calling all soon to be new nurses graduates!! This event is what you are looking for to help you transition from the classroom to the bedside. Spend a day with veteran nurses to gain first hand knowledge on what to expect and how to better prepare for your new career!! This full day workshop will have nurses from different specialities giving you what they consider the pros and cons of their area along with pointers on how to excel. We will talk about professionalism, how to advocate for your patients, how to speak with physicians and how to prepare for the call, how to perform quick assessments, preparing for retirement and so much more. The workshop will not be complete without having a hands on skills session. IV insertion, EKG's, Assessments, Catheter insertion, wound care, etc. . . As veteran nurses, we are here to help you enter the field as ready as possible!! Lunch will be served. There are a limited number of participants that we can accommodate (20) So, register soon.
