Learn how to create your own Kokedama "moss ball"- perfect for a holiday gift this season!
Kokedama (“moss ball”) is a Japanese garden art related to bonsai and kusamono, in which a root ball is wrapped in mud and moss and tied with twine to create a living planter. Learn how to care for your own Kokedama and discover the meditative practice of building a sculpture that blooms. All skill levels welcome, materials will be provided.
**Gardening can get messy; please dress with this in mind! Bring gardening gloves if desired.
Materials (included):
- 50/50 mix of bonsai soil and potting soil
- sphagnum moss
- sheet moss
- twine
- small, hardy plant (pothos and spider plants provided)
