Kids 9+ will love learning to needle felt while making cool cactus "plants" for their rooms or to give as gifts! Get your kiddo out of the house with this awesome needle felting workshop! They won't want to miss making these adorable cactus decorations for themselves, friends, or family. Or to give as a gift in the free gift bag we'll send home with them, too:) Finally, a house plant no one can kill. Sign your teen and their friends up for this workshop to ignite their inspiration! *A properly fitting mask must be worn for the entire class. Thank you! Needle felting is done by using wool roving (usually sheep's wool) and barbed needles to created felted objects. The possibilities are endless with this fun art form! In addition to a finished project, participants will take home a felting kit to make more cacti, including:2 felting needlesfoam felting padextra roving and terra cotta pot2 leather finger guards2 safety eyesprinted instructions Participants will learn about the materials and tools, including how to use the extremely sharp, barbed needles safely. They will also be provided with finger guards to help prevent pokes. Despite these best practices, pokes do happen, even to seasoned felters! Many people love them for pin cushions, too!
