$1000 after 90 days & $1000 after 6 Months Perform general maintenance, repair, construction or other specialized work to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the overall facility and equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Repair, maintain, test, clean and operate utility and emergency systems for the facility, as necessary. · Repair, maintain, test, clean and operate all hospital equipment (i.e. beds, compressors, boilers, etc.), as necessary. · Utilize mechanical, trade and other specialized skills to ensure safe and efficient operation of the physical facility, equipment and department. trade skills and abilities as required for repairs, maintenance, remodels and construction. · Perform a wide variety of repairs, maintenance tests, and operations; not limited to buildings, facilities, equipment, utilities, and systems; using hand, power, testing, and specialized tools. · Ability to perform minor welding, plumbing and electrical repairs, carpentry repairs to walls, roofs, windows, or ceilings, as necessary. · Ability to respond to facility emergencies at all hours and work pre-planned maintenance shifts that can include holidays, nights, and weekends. · Use independent judgement for devising appropriate work methods. · Ability to make timely, logical decisions for directed projects. OTHER FUNCTIONS: · Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: · High school diploma or equivalent required. · Four or more years maintenance, engineering and/or trade related experience. · Ability to read, write and speak effectively in English is required. · One or more years’ experience in a clinical setting preferred.
