Description
Are you particularly sensitive to light?
Scientists and eye physicians at The Smith-Kettlewell Brain Imaging Center in San Francisco are investigating the mechanisms of light sensitivity. As a result, we are seeking adults who have unusual sensitivity to light. We also need an equal number of people with typical vision without such light sensitivity.
Participants will undergo behavioral testing with a handheld sensor while viewing colored visual displays. Measurements of eye response to light using electroretinography will also be recorded. The entire procedure will require ONE visit for ~1.5 hours.
You are eligible to participate if you are:
- Between 18 and 50 years’ old
- Have low or high sensitivity to light
- In normal health with no known: eye diseases, traumatic brain injuries, neurological conditions
- Not pregnant
Participants will be compensated up to $25 per hour, plus up to $20 for travel/parking/out-of-pocket reimbursement.
If you are interested in participating or have any questions regarding the study, please contact at
or the email address in the contact info in the flyer.
*Participation for the study will not begin until we deem it safe following CDC's COVID-19 health and safety protocols, please keep in touch.
