Here are the top stories today in Buffalo: A 29-year-old Buffalo man is in critical condition after being shot Wednesday night in the City of Buffalo. Buffalo Police were called to the area of Dodge and Timon streets just before 6:40 p.m. after reports of a shooting. The man was taken to Erie County Medical Center, where he's currently listed in critical condition. (WGRZ.com)A Buffalo health services provider is training therapy dogs to heal people in need, especially local veterans. Horizon Health Services is transforming local canines into proficient pups that are able to serve others. Studies show that interaction with animals can fill a void left by things like anxiety and PTSD. (Spectrum News) In honor of Veterans Day yesterday, staff at Buffalo's VA Hospital gathered at Veterans Park to honor local service members and highlight the health resources available to them.
