GAITHERSBURG, MD — Voter turnout for the Gaithersburg local elections doubled from 2019 to 2021, results from the Board of Supervisors of Elections reported. This year, 13.22 percent of Gaithersburg voters turned up for the race, compared to 6.54 percent for the uncontested 2019 race.
The Board confirmed that Jud Ashman will serve again as mayor, and Lisa Henderson and Jim McNulty will join the City Council.
All candidates will serve a four-year term, and the next scheduled election will been Nov. 7, 2023.
