Water Delivery Truck Hits, Kills Pedestrian In Gaithersburg

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A 75-year-old man died after he was hit by a water delivery truck in Gaithersburg. The truck was turning left from Fellowship Circle toward Odendhal Avenue in the Asbury Methodist Village Tuesday afternoon, and hit the man who was crossing Asbury Road. Police say the driver stayed at the scene, and officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue responded to calls about the accident around 3 p.m. The name of the victim will be announced once his family has been properly notified, police said. Police are investigating, and asked anyone with information to call CRU detectives at 240-773-6620.
