Amber Alert Issued For Child Abduction Of 3-Year-Old Austin Girl

AUSTIN, TX — An Amber alert has been issued for a three-year-old Austin girl who police say was abducted Thursday morning. The abduction allegedly took place at the 8800 block of Research Boulevard at 12:30 a.m. Thursday. The alert was issued around 7 a.m. Mckenzie Byrne has brown hair, stands at 3-foot-2 and was last seen wearing a grey shirt with pink and purple pants, the alert said. The suspect is identified as Brian Byrne who allegedly took the three-year-old by force. The 37-year-old is bald, stands at 6-foot-4 and was last seen wearing a red shirt and black basketball pants. The car they were last seen in was a 2012 Silver Toyota Tundra with the license plate BP70978. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Austin Police Department at 512-974-5000.
