Sopapilla (also called Sopa or Sopie) has lost her owner (our dad) who passed away several months ago. She was very bonded with him and they equally needed each other. He was in fragile health and she always stuck by his side since he got her as a pup. She is nervous/anxious and unsettled without him and we feel she needs someone new who also needs her. She’s good on a leash and has recently stopped wanting to chase squirrels.;) She loves daily walks and just being by your side. She is some sort of cattle dog mix-we think possibly a “cowboy corgi” (Australian Cattle Dog/Corgi mix). She is used to being around the grandkids and has never been aggressive. She is typically timid/prefers to hide from strangers. She will bark when someone is at the door. She has been comfortable with both men and women, so we’re not sure what makes her hide from some but sit by others. But she’s sweet and lonely and needs a companion who is willing to take the time to show her that she’s ok and life can be fun again. Her birthday is June 14, 2015. She is in good health, and has a quarter-sized growth on the top of her head that doesn’t bother her at all and the vet said it doesn’t pose any concerns.
