POSITION TITLE: SCIENCE PRESENTER/BIRTHDAY LEAD/FLOOR STAFF - PART TIME (Two Positions) DUTIES: • Preparations, set-up, break-down of birthday party program. • Greet and engage with guests in exhibit areas; exhibit demonstration; ability to speak about traveling exhibits. • Showmanship; presents various science shows. • Animal handling with animals that live within the museum • Operates rides. • Assist with camp-ins, early childhood education, STEMobile, and other science related activities • Works in museum and/or at community event. QUALIFICATIONS: • Previous customer service and teaching experience preferred. • Good communications skills: ability to speak before large audiences. • Problem solving skills. • Effectively able to control crowds. • Ability to work under pressure and in constantly changing conditions • Ability to stand for long periods of time • Able to lift 50 lbs. • Must be available to work holidays, weekends, and evenings.
