Actively looking for an in-home caregiver for my aging 78-year old mother with some health conditions. One of the most important aspects of a caregiver will be providing companionship, looking for someone that will provide a genuine interest in my mother, her life and her environment, this will help create true sense of trust and companionship. Some light housekeeping, caring for house plants; taking out garbage and general tidying of living spaces as required or requested. It also includes caring for her three little dogs, including feeding, walking, playing with and, cleaning up after them. (We will continue with the existing house cleaning service currently in place) Help with grocery shopping, preparing menus and meals, cooking, baking, serving, washing and drying dishes and general tidying up is included. Personal Care: This including assisting with grooming needs such as showers and possible sponge baths. assisting with dressing and undressing and assisting with mobilization. It also includes reminding the client to take their prescription medications. It does not include cutting of toenails or fingernails, changing wound dressings, or assisting with medications. Transportation and Escort: A Caregiver may drive their vehicle (or my mother's vehicle with proper DMV background check and insurance) to transport her to Dr.s appointments, pharmacy or errands while providing a helping hand or shoulder to lean on. This is a 5-day per week (Mon-Fri) 3-4 hours per day at $16 per hour paid by personal check at the end of every week with no tax reporting) Hours are flexible but would prefer starting late morning, ending early afternoon.
