We are looking for 2 kayak guides to help us with tours and rentals in Marathon, Fl. Tours are 2 hr on the water and require an equal amount of time for set up and clean up. We pay $100 per tour of 4ppl or less and $125 for tours over 4ppl. You will be required to help with deliveries and pick ups of rentals at $15/hr. You must be able to pick up 80 lb kayaks. Mostly your job will be tours and the set up and take down that they require but periodically you will also be asked to help with kayak rental delivery and pick up The most important skill is being personable. It also helps to be presentable, knowledgeable and talkative. Previous kayak skills are helpful but these are very easy kayak tours done on calm water. Kayak guiding is like bartending without the alcohol. Preference will go to somebody with a guiding experience or bartending background with the knowledge and skills to give a kayak eco tour.
