PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Phoenixville's Holy Ghost Orthodox Church watched its emergency fund dry up after flooding damaged the parish property that's been a part of Phoenixville since 1937. Holy Ghost Orthodox Church is a parish of the Orthodox Christian faith in the heart of the Borough. The parish spans over 100 acres. Holy Ghost hosts a locally renowned Pierogi Fest that assists with outreach and fundraising every year. But Pierogi Fest and the Church's other fundraisers were not enough this year. When the leadership team of Franklin Flood, a locally headquartered Flood Insurance wholesaler, heard about the amazing things Holy Ghost was doing for the Phoenixville community and learned of their emergency fund's depletion after the hurricane — they said they knew they had to help. Franklin coordinated a site visit with Holy Ghost, and received a warm welcome and tour by Fr. Peter Paproski. Paproski gave a brief history of the church and of Phoenixville with an overview of all the fundraising events put on by the parish community. On Nov. 3, Franklin Flood's leadership team came out. That included owner Christopher Mazza, President Greg Devone, General Manager Ksenyia DiTrolio, and Vice President of Business Development Cassandra Dalmas, who visited Holy Ghost and presented a check for $15,000 to help replenish their emergency fund and help rebuild the community. Franklin Flood said it hopes that their donation will inspire other local organizations to donate their time or funds to Holy Ghost or other local non-profits. Sign up to volunteer at one of Holy Ghost's fundraising events here. Franklin Flood said it prides itself on providing the best customer service experience in the business. From the quoting process through renewal, the company wants its customers to be assured that Franklin will be there to answer questions, address concerns, service policies, and for those who become the victim of a flood, process claims.
