DOVER, NH — A Somersworth teenager was taken to Boston after being injured in an SUV crash on the Spaulding Turnpike on Wednesday. Around 4:45 p.m., New Hampshire State Police along with Dover police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the area of Exit 9 for a report of a crash. When they arrived, they found a 2004 Honda CR-V had rolled on the southbound side of the highway. Madison A. Smith, 18, of Somersworth was the driver of the SUV and the only one inside, according to state police. "She was ejected from her vehicle as a result of the crash," said Lt. Keith Walker of Troop A. Smith was taken to Wentworth Hospital in Dover and then, medflighted to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston with "serious injuries sustained from the crash," he said. Speed appears to be a factor in this crash, according to investigators, however, all aspects remain under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Trooper N. Klimashov at [email protected] or 603-223-3828. Got a news tip? Send it to [email protected]. View videos on Tony Schinella's YouTube.com channel or Rumble.com channel.
