Press release from the Long Beach Unified School District: November 10, 2021 About 100 students from Webster Elementary School recently participated in the annual "Shop with a Cop" event held in partnership with the Long Beach Police Department. The event paired students with a police employee for a morning of shopping at a local Target store. Each student received a $100 shopping spree to buy toys, clothes and other items of their choice, along with a bag of groceries and a "Shop with a Cop" T-shirt.  Before embarking on their shopping spree, students were treated to a pancake breakfast provided by Norms. Long Beach Transit provided transportation to and from the event. "Our students had an amazing time, and this experience will not be forgotten any time soon," Webster Principal Sarah Forrester said. "We appreciate that community partners care about our Webster Wildcats as much as we do." This year's event was held in collaboration with the Long Beach Education Foundation, Long Beach Police Department, Long Beach Police Foundation, Long Beach Transit, Norms and Domino's.
